In England’s capital city, London, an estimated 2,000 runners donned Santa Claus costumes to run and walk a 6km course for charity.
At the London Santa Run on Saturday, runners gathered in Battersea Park to run the course and raise money for Disability Snowsport UK and other charities.
Each runner paid a $28 participation fee, or $25 if they entered before Nov. 1, which covered for the cost of the costumes provided to each runner before the race.
“Put runners in fancy dress and suddenly a run around the park becomes 10 times more fun! ” Santa Run organizers wrote online.
